Chris on Cycling
I road BMX as a little guy, then started cross training while playing soccer. The bike overtook and I was hooked from an early age . I did my first 100 mile ride at age 14. It’s just a part of me…my lifestyle. I ride as much as possible. Besides being fun, it is an enormous outlet for stress and grounding myself.
Chris on Food & Wine
I love kitchens and sharing ideas. Food and wine all come together like a plated dish. You have components that just work. So, I roll with it. Art and science.
My relationship with cycling, food and wine is a long one. When deciding where to live and work as a chef, I have always put being close to a great place to ride at the top of my priority list. It is a relationship that is pretty easy and simple–there are always mouths to feed and roads to ride!
Chris’s favorite post ride meal
Bean and cheese burrito with guac and chips! After a huge ride, a burger, soda, and fries.
Chris on CampoVelo
CampoVelo is very organized from a riders point of view. My favorite moment was trying to chase Ted King and company! If someone’s on the fence about this event, they have bigger issues and need to seek out therapy.
